FAQ – frequently asked questions about Strongflex 081803B
Does the 80ShA hardness significantly reduce comfort?
Compared with a worn OEM rubber bush the stiffness will be higher, but at 80ShA the car
remains perfectly usable on the street. The main difference you will notice is a more
stable rear end and more precise response from the chassis.
Is this bush only for Civic VIII?
No. The same bush is also used in CR-Z, City V, Insight II and Jazz III,
as shown by the OEM part numbers listed above.
Is a press required for installation?
In most cases yes – the bush works in the rear beam, so removing the old bush and pressing
in the new polyurethane insert is best done with a press or suitable tooling in a workshop
familiar with suspension work.
