Thermal Gaskets PTFE 3 mm – Thermoshield Intake & Throttle Body Gaskets

Thermal gaskets made from 3 mm PTFE (Teflon) significantly reduce heat transfer between the cylinder head, intake manifold, throttle body and plenum. This helps stabilise intake air temperatures, improve long-term reliability of engine components, and maintain consistent performance even under demanding conditions.

Why choose PTFE thermal gaskets?

What’s the difference between a thermal gasket and a standard gasket?
Standard gaskets primarily seal the surface. PTFE thermal gaskets seal and insulate, dramatically reducing heat transfer between components.

Do they require modifications during installation?
No. Most PTFE gaskets are plug-and-play. Clean both mating surfaces, torque evenly, and verify that the extra 3 mm thickness does not interfere with brackets or hoses.

Do thermal gaskets increase power?
They do not add power directly. Instead, they help prevent heat soak, keeping intake air temperatures lower and power output more consistent — especially after extended driving.

What are the material limits?
PTFE is chemically inert, non-flammable and extremely stable. It withstands continuous heat up to ~260°C and short bursts up to ~300°C.
