Rear suspension kit – comfort-oriented polyurethane set (086230B)

Complete rear suspension bush kit for Acura TL III, Acura TSX I and Honda Accord VII (Sedan / Coupe).
Version 086230B is designed as a more civil, daily-driving alternative to the full track-spec kit. It reduces play in the rear suspension and keeps geometry stable under load, but with more ride comfort and better filtering of bumps than a full 90 ShA track setup.

Contents of the kit (20 bushes in total)

  • 2× 081823A – rear trailing arm bush
  • 4× 081824B – rear upper arm bush
  • 4× 081825A – rear knuckle bush
  • 4× 081826A – rear lower arm – front bush
  • 4× 081827A – rear lower arm – rear bush
  • 2× 081828B – rear anti-roll bar bush

Compared to the fully stiff track-focused rear kit, version 086230B uses 80 ShA polyurethane on selected positions to keep more ride comfort and better filtering of small bumps. At the same time, several key bushes remain in the same stiffness as the harder performance kit where a higher hardness is required for proper geometry control and precise handling.

Application

  • Acura TL III (2003–2008) UA6 / UA7
  • Acura TSX I (2003–2008) CL9
  • Honda Accord VII (2002–2008) Sedan / Coupe CL / CM

Required per car: 1 kit
Pieces per kit: 20
Hardness: 80 ShA
Material: polyurethane (PUR/PU)
Each kit includes assembly grease.

When to choose this kit?

This set is aimed at drivers who want a precise, stable rear axle and sharper response of the Accord / TL / TSX, but at the same time use the car every day, on mixed roads and longer trips. It is a good choice for:

  • daily driven cars with occasional spirited driving,
  • cars lowered on springs or coilovers, where OEM rubber bushes are already too soft,
  • vehicles with high mileage, where the rear of the car feels “floaty” and imprecise,
  • owners who want a more connected feel to the road, but without a harsh, track-only setup.

Installation and additional notes

Replacement of rear suspension bushes requires pressing out the original rubber elements and pressing in the new polyurethane ones. We recommend installation in a workshop with a press and geometry alignment after fitting. The kit keeps noticeably better rear axle stability when braking, turning and accelerating out of corners, while remaining more forgiving over bumps than the full track-spec kit.

FAQ – rear polyurethane suspension kit 086230B

Does this kit significantly increase cabin noise and vibration?
The 80 ShA hardness is firmer than OEM rubber, so the rear axle becomes more direct, but the level of noise and vibration remains acceptable for a daily driven street car, especially with a stock exhaust and interior.

How does it differ from the harder rear kit ?
The harder set uses stiffer bushes on more positions and is aimed at aggressive track / competition use. Version 086230B keeps some key elements in the same hardness for geometry control, but softens selected locations to offer more comfort and better everyday usability. For most road cars this version will be the better choice.

Can I combine this kit with front polyurethane bushes?
Yes, combining rear kit 086230B with front polyurethane bushings further improves steering response and stability.
