FAQ

Should I use RTV silicone as well?
Usually no. Install on clean, dry surfaces. Use a small bead of sensor-safe RTV only where the service manual specifies corner joints or casting steps (if applicable). Avoid excess.

Torque spec and tightening sequence?
Follow the service manual for your VIN (low torque in a criss-cross pattern, from center out). Over-tightening can warp the cover and cause leaks.

Can I reuse the old gasket?
Not recommended. Once compressed and heat-cycled, rubber loses elasticity. Always fit a new gasket after removing the cover.

Does it fit all 1.5 non-turbo engines?
It fits L-series 1.5 NA such as L15B3/L15B4. For certainty, provide your VIN.
