Genuine Honda cylinder head bolt set 90005-RZ0-G01 designed for 1.6 i-DTEC (N16A) diesel engines. The kit includes 10 new head bolts used for clamping the cylinder head to the engine block in modern Honda diesel engines, where correct and even clamping force is crucial for head gasket sealing and long-term reliability.

Why replace the cylinder head bolts?

In 1.6 i-DTEC engines the head bolts are torque-to-yield type, working under very high thermal and mechanical load. For this reason it is strongly recommended to replace the complete set every time the cylinder head is removed – for example when changing the head gasket, resurfacing the head or doing a major engine rebuild. New head bolts help to:

  • ensure even clamping force across the whole head gasket surface,
  • reduce the risk of combustion gas leaks between cylinders or into the cooling system,
