Early designs did not fully protect the pulley and the rubber damper, which could lead to accelerated wear. Honda later introduced an updated shield. This kit follows that improved concept for Accord applications.

In Civic and FR-V this shield upgrade is generally not required. If you only need a new pulley 13810-RBD-E01 for these models, you may use the pulley from this kit and simply do not install the shield.

Important: the shield shape differs between Accord and CR-V. Do not swap the shield from an Accord kit into a CR-V or vice versa.

Is the pulley original OEM?

Is the pulley itself different between the Accord and CR-V repair kits?

Can I install the Accord shield on a CR-V?
No. The shield geometry and mounting points are different and must not be interchanged between models.
