Front Right Stabiliser Link – 555 SL-6270R
The 555 SL-6270R is an aftermarket front right stabiliser link (also known as a drop link or sway-bar link) designed as a direct-fit replacement for the Honda OEM part. Manufactured by 555, a well-established Japanese supplier of steering and suspension components, this link delivers reliable quality at a competitive price point. The ball-joint ends are pre-greased and fitted with durable dust boots to protect against water and road debris, ensuring a long service life comparable to the original part.
This is the right-hand (passenger-side, EU) front link that connects the front anti-roll bar to the lower suspension strut bracket. It is sold individually — if both sides show signs of wear, the corresponding left-side link should be replaced at the same time.
Applications
- Honda Civic (EU / EP) – 2001–2005
- Honda CR-V (RD4 / RD5 / RD6 / RD7) – 2002–2006
- Honda FR-V (BE) – 2005–2009
- Honda Stream (RN) – 2001–2005
If you are unsure about compatibility with your specific model variant, we recommend verifying the part number against your VIN before ordering.

When to Replace – Symptoms of a Worn Stabiliser Link
- Knocking or rattling from the front suspension, especially over bumps, speed humps and uneven surfaces.
- Clunking noise when turning the steering wheel at low speed or in parking manoeuvres.
- Cracked or missing dust boots on the link ball joints — once exposed, the joints deteriorate rapidly.
- Perceptible play when the link is checked by hand with the vehicle on a lift.
- Increased body roll in corners, indicating that the anti-roll bar is no longer being properly coupled to the suspension.
Installation and Service Tips
- The link is secured by a nut at each end. Use a hex key to hold the ball-joint stud while loosening/tightening the nut to avoid spinning the joint.
- Tighten the upper and lower nuts to the torque value specified in the Honda workshop manual for your model.
- Inspect the anti-roll bar bushings at the same time — worn bar bushings can produce similar symptoms and are inexpensive to replace.
- It is recommended to replace both left and right links together for balanced handling. At the very least, inspect the opposite side carefully.
- No wheel alignment is required after replacing stabiliser links alone.
FAQ – Front Right Stabiliser Link 555 SL-6270R
Is this an OEM Honda part?
No. The SL-6270R is manufactured by 555, a Japanese aftermarket supplier. It is designed to replace the Honda OEM part referenced as 51320-S5A-003.
Should I replace both sides at the same time?
It is good practice to replace both links as a pair, since if one side is worn the other is likely nearing the end of its service life as well. At minimum, inspect the opposite link and replace it if any play or boot damage is found.
What tools do I need?
A standard socket set (typically 14 mm and 17 mm, depending on model) and a hex key to counter-hold the ball-joint stud. No special tools or presses are required — this is a straightforward bolt-on replacement.
Can a worn stabiliser link cause an MOT / roadworthiness failure?
Yes. Excessive play in a stabiliser link is a common reason for suspension-related test failures across most European inspection schemes.
